The
Deeper Well: integrative medicine workshops Re-membering
the Healer's Spirit: Creative assignments are designed to nourish you as you process the burnout experience in ways to transform your work experience. Working alone part of the time and in pairs, you will be reading, journaling, walking meditatively in Sequoia National Park, making mandalas and talking with Elsah. The most potent healing moment in this retreat/intensive is when you decide to let yourself come and make a reservation to do it. You open to change, even though it may seem impossible to take the first step. Often when you are in an overwhelmed state over job stress or life stress, you don't see ways that you can break the cycle. This retreat can help you do this, but first, you have to give yourself permission to stop whatever you are doing and bring yourself to the retreat. The fourth weekends of each month from January to October, 2007, are set aside as retreat weekends. Retreat size is limited to 8 persons, and is open to anyone, although it is designed for nurses and health professionals. It is advised that other persons, not enrolled in the workshop, not accompany you for the retreat. The retreat starts on Friday afternoon and ends on Monday night for $350 per person. 30 hours of continuing education credit is offered for this workshop for nurses with California or Nevada licenses. Th retreat package includes 4 nights at Cort Cottage Bed and Breakfast, with an optional craniosacral session for $65. Special rate of $125 per night for Cort Cottage stay for 4 nights for 1-2 persons. Both persons must be enrolled in the retreat class to stay in the cottage together. Retreat participants may extend their stay in the cottage at the retreat rate of $125 per night. The burnout retreats are also open to others staying at different lodging facilities in Three Rivers. All of the workshops are held in Three Rivers, California, a small Sierra Nevada foothill village located at the entrance to Sequoia National
Park, found halfway between Los Angeles and San Francisco, 40 minutes east of Visalia on Hwy 198.
